Workshop “No more plastics on Kornati”

From 15th till 18th of August, the sea protection society „Sea without plastic" with cooperation of the project Invisible life of Waste held the "No more plastic“ action in the National Park Kornati. Waste was collected at two locations; Tovarnjak and Šipnate. Over 145 kg of plastic waste was there collected; even 150 cigarette lighters and 3,3 kg of bottle caps were set aside. The plastic was then selected, and the discussion on the topic of plastic was also held. The usable plastic was used to make jewelry. At the end of the event, a “No more plastic” installation was made of plugs and plastic bottles. In second, more scientific part of the event, there were a presentations from Maja Rijavec who presented the Cultural ecological association and social enterprise Smet Umet and Katarina Polajnar Horvat (ZRC SAZU) who presented the Efficiency of social influence methods in environmental awareness and behavior regarding waste management
